Privacy Policy

PinDeleter is a web application that lets you connect your Pinterest account and delete Pinterest Pins in bulk. It is operated by SIA EVORO, a company based in Latvia (“we”, “us”, “our”). For the personal data described in this Privacy Policy, SIA EVORO acts as the data controller.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we process when you use the PinDeleter website and application, why, who receives it, how long we keep it, and what choices and rights you have. You can contact us at info@pindeleter.com.

Where this Policy describes Pinterest profile, board or Pin data, it means the data of the Pinterest account you connect.

Pinterest profile information

After you connect Pinterest, we may receive and process from the Pinterest API: your Pinterest user ID, username, account type, profile image (avatar) URL, business name (if any), follower count, board count and Pin count.

Boards

Board ID, board name and the number of Pins on the board.

Pins

For the Pins shown in your dashboard: Pin ID, title, description, link, board ID, creation date, and image URL and media metadata. This is retrieved from Pinterest so that you can see and select your Pins. We do not intentionally save a separate copy of your Pin titles, descriptions, links or images in the records described below. Your browser loads Pin and profile images directly from Pinterest’s servers. When you confirm a deletion, the IDs of the Pins you selected are sent to Pinterest so that it can delete them. They are also stored in a deletion job, described below.

Connection and session data

To keep you signed in and to act on your Pinterest account at your direction, we store a session record containing your Pinterest user ID, username, Pinterest access token, Pinterest refresh token, the permissions (scopes) you granted, the token expiry time, and a temporary allow-list of Pin IDs that is used to check deletion requests.

Deletion jobs

When you confirm a deletion, PinDeleter creates a deletion job so that it can run in the background and carry on if you close the browser, refresh the page or sign out. A job holds up to 1,000 Pins. Its record contains your Pinterest user ID; the IDs of the Pins you selected and, for each, whether it is waiting, deleted, failed or skipped, how many attempts were made and a short technical reason when it did not succeed; and the job’s status, counts and timestamps. It does not contain Pin titles, descriptions, links, images or board names.

We use job records to carry out the deletion, to apply plan limits, to keep the process reliable (for example so that a Pin is never deleted or counted twice) and to troubleshoot problems. Successful, failed and skipped Pins can all remain in the record as operational data for the period in section 12. The record is internal: you see a summary of your recent deletions, other users cannot see it, and it is not shared outside the service providers described in this policy.

Deletion job credential

So that a job can continue after your browser is closed, we store a short-lived copy of your Pinterest access token (not your refresh token) on our servers for the duration of that job. It is used only by the job’s background processing and is removed when the job ends. It expires with the token, or after at most 6 hours, whichever comes first. It is not part of the job record, is not shown on any page of PinDeleter, is not available to other users, and is not designed to be written to logs.

Usage record

A record keyed to your Pinterest user ID containing your plan, your counts of successful deletions (in total and, on a paid plan, per billing period), and timestamps. These are counts only: they contain no Pin IDs. They are used to apply plan limits, including the Free plan limit (see section 6).

Billing and subscription record

If you subscribe to a paid plan, we keep a billing record linked to your Pinterest user ID. It contains your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID, the price ID and plan, the subscription status, the billing period timestamps (including the period your last successful payment covered), whether a cancellation is scheduled and when it takes effect, the payment-problem and grace-period state, and timestamps. We also keep a short log of the Stripe notifications we have processed. It does not contain your card number. See section 7.

Preferences

If you use them: your default sort order, whether to remember your last board, your last board ID, and timestamps.

Cookie and analytics choices

Your cookie consent choice, stored in your own browser (see sections 8 and 9). If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may collect analytics data (see section 9).

Technical and operational data

Our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, may process technical request and network metadata (for example IP address, request headers and timestamps) as part of delivering and protecting the service. The application may also generate operational log messages when errors occur, such as error messages, status codes and technical identifiers like Pin IDs; it is not designed to write access tokens or passwords to logs. Whether and for how long such technical data or logs are kept depends on infrastructure settings and the provider’s own practices, and we do not state a retention period for it on this page.

Messages you send us

If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to reply.

What we do not receive

• Your Pinterest password. You sign in on Pinterest; we never see or store it.
• Your email address from Pinterest. We do not request an email permission from Pinterest.

You connect PinDeleter to Pinterest using Pinterest’s official OAuth login. You enter your credentials on Pinterest, and Pinterest then gives us an access token limited to the permissions you approve. We request these permissions:

• user_accounts:read — to read your Pinterest profile and account details.
• boards:read — to list your boards.
• pins:read — to list your Pins.
• pins:write — to delete the Pins you select and confirm.
• boards:write — requested because Pinterest requires it for Pin deletion to work. The PinDeleter dashboard does not create or edit your boards.

Your session lasts until your Pinterest authorization expires or can no longer be renewed, or until you disconnect, whichever comes first.

Disconnecting inside PinDeleter ends your PinDeleter session and removes the session record and cookie. It does not by itself revoke the access token at Pinterest, and it does not delete your usage record or preferences, and it does not cancel a subscription (see sections 12 and 13). You may also manage your Pinterest account through Pinterest’s own services and settings, where applicable.

We use the information described above to:

• connect to your Pinterest account and keep you signed in;
• show your profile summary, boards and Pins so that you can filter and select them;
• send deletion requests to Pinterest for the Pins you select and confirm;
• count successful deletions and apply the plan limits;
• if you subscribe, link your subscription to your Pinterest account, give you the access your plan includes, handle cancellations and failed payments, and keep billing records;
• remember your dashboard preferences;
• keep the service secure, prevent abuse, fraud and circumvention of limits, handle payment disputes, and diagnose errors;
• respond to your messages and requests, including privacy requests;
• measure how the site is used, only if you accept analytics; and
• comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising or advertising personalization. We do not currently send marketing emails. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects.

Where data protection law such as the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases. Which bases apply can depend on where you live, so this is a general summary.

• Providing the service you request (performance of a contract, where applicable): connecting your Pinterest account, keeping your session, displaying your Pins, carrying out confirmed deletions, remembering your preferences, recording your usage while you use the service, and, if you subscribe, providing and billing your paid plan.
• Legitimate interests: enforcing the Free plan limit and preventing abuse, fraud or circumvention (including keeping a minimal record after a deletion request, see section 13), handling payment disputes, keeping the service secure, and diagnosing and fixing errors. We consider that these interests are not overridden by your rights, given the small amount of data involved, and you can object (see section 14).
• Consent: optional Google Analytics, and any storage of analytics information on your device that requires consent. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 9). Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it.
• Legal obligations: where we are required by law to process or disclose information, for example to keep accounting and tax records about paid subscriptions.

PinDeleter sends Pinterest one deletion request for each Pin you select, and only after you explicitly confirm. Deletion is irreversible, and we cannot restore a deleted Pin. You are responsible for selecting the correct Pins. We do not guarantee that every deletion request will succeed; Pinterest decides the outcome of each request.

After you confirm, the deletion runs in the background, in a deletion job of up to 1,000 Pins, and continues if you close the page. Only one job can run at a time.

We do not keep the titles, descriptions, links or images of Pins you delete. What we keep about a deletion is the operational record described in section 2: the job’s status, counts and timestamps, the IDs of the Pins in the job and what happened to each (kept for a limited time, see section 12), and an increase in your successful-deletion count. Failed deletions do not count toward any plan limit. The Free plan allows 10 successful deletions in total over the lifetime of the account.

The deletion is carried out by Pinterest, through its API, on the Pinterest account you connected. It cannot be undone through PinDeleter.

Paid plans (Pro and Unlimited) are sold through Stripe Managed Payments. If you subscribe, you enter your payment details on Stripe’s hosted checkout page, not on PinDeleter. Payments, receipts and invoices are processed and sent by Stripe. For these transactions Stripe, or the applicable Stripe entity, may act as the merchant of record, and your purchase may be shown as “Sold through Link”. Stripe handles the payment information it collects under its own privacy notices.

What Stripe processes

Depending on how you check out, Stripe may collect your name, email address, billing address, payment method details, tax-related information, device and fraud-prevention signals, and your transaction and invoice history. PinDeleter does not receive or store your full card number. Stripe’s handling of that information is described in Stripe’s Privacy Policy and in the Link page about purchases sold through Link.

What we keep about your billing

• your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID;
• the price ID and the plan you subscribed to;
• the subscription status (for example active, past due, cancelled);
• billing period timestamps, including the period your last successful payment covered;
• whether a cancellation is scheduled and when it takes effect;
• the payment-problem and grace-period state, so we can apply the rules in our Terms; and
• a short log of the Stripe notifications we have processed (event ID, type and processing status), kept so that each notification is handled exactly once and so that problems can be diagnosed.

This record is linked to the Pinterest user ID you use in PinDeleter, because your Pinterest account is your account identity here. We also send that Pinterest user ID to Stripe as a reference on your Stripe customer and subscription, so the two can be matched. We use this information to give you the access your plan includes, to handle renewals, failed payments and cancellations, and to keep records. We receive it from Stripe, and we do not receive your payment card details.

Retention

We keep billing records for as long as needed to run your subscription, keep accounting and tax records, prevent fraud, handle disputes and comply with our legal obligations. We do not state a fixed period here because it depends on those requirements. Stripe keeps its own records under its own policies. If you ask Stripe or Link to delete your Managed Payments data, Stripe cancels the subscriptions sold to you through Managed Payments, which ends paid access.

PinDeleter uses the following cookies and browser storage.

Necessary (always on)

• pindeleter_session (cookie): identifies your signed-in session. It is HTTP-only and secure, and set to expire in line with your Pinterest authorization.
• pinterest_oauth_state (cookie): protects the Pinterest login flow against forged requests. It is short-lived (about 10 minutes).
• pindeleter_cookie_consent (local storage): remembers your cookie choice. It is stored only in your browser until you clear it, applies to that browser and device only, and is not tied to your Pinterest account.

These are strictly necessary for signing in, for security, and for remembering your choice, so they do not depend on your consent and cannot be switched off in PinDeleter.

Optional (only with your consent)

• Google Analytics (see section 9).

You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings (also available in the site footer, the account menu and the Settings page).

Pinterest may also set its own cookies when you visit Pinterest to sign in, and Stripe or Link may set their own cookies or similar technologies on their pages if you go to checkout or the customer portal. Those are governed by their policies, not by this one.

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand how the site is used, but only if you accept analytics.

Before you consent

• Google Analytics is not loaded.
• No request is sent to Google Analytics.
• Analytics storage is set to denied.

After you accept analytics

Analytics storage is granted and Google Analytics may load and collect analytics data about how you use the site, such as pages visited, interactions, and technical device and browser information. As with any request to Google’s servers, Google receives technical information such as your IP address, and Google Analytics may set or read cookies. We do not intentionally send your Pinterest user ID or username to Google Analytics.

Always off

We always keep the advertising-related consent signals ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising.

Changing your mind

Use Cookie settings to switch analytics off (or on) at any time. If you switch it off, analytics storage is set to denied and collection stops immediately. Analytics cookies that were already set in your browser may remain until they expire or you delete them in your browser settings. Your choice is stored only in your browser.

We do not sell your personal information. We share or make information available only as described below.

• Pinterest: for sign-in and API access, reading your profile, boards and Pins, deleting the Pins you select, and serving Pinterest-hosted images that your browser loads directly. Pinterest handles your data under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Stripe (including Link): if you subscribe, payment processing, checkout, receipts and invoices, tax handling, fraud prevention, payment disputes and transaction support, as described in section 7. We send Stripe your Pinterest user ID as a reference, and Stripe sends us billing and subscription status updates.
• Cloudflare: hosting, the Workers runtime, Workers KV and D1 storage (where the records in sections 2 and 7 are kept), and CDN and network infrastructure. Cloudflare may process request and network metadata as part of providing that infrastructure.
• Google: Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics.
• Public authorities: where we are legally required to disclose information.

Pinterest, Cloudflare, Google and Stripe operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, including countries outside the European Economic Area. We do not choose, control or make any statement about the geographic location where Cloudflare or Stripe store or process data, and we do not state that your data remains within the European Economic Area. • Session record (including the Pinterest tokens and the temporary Pin ID allow-list): kept until your Pinterest authorization expires or can no longer be renewed, or until you disconnect, whichever comes first.
• Deletion job credential (the short-lived copy of your Pinterest access token): removed when the job ends, and in any case expires with the token or after at most 6 hours.
• Pin records of a deletion job (the Pin IDs and what happened to each): kept while the job runs and for about 30 days after it ends, then removed by an automatic daily clean-up. They are used to run the job, to offer a retry of Pins that could not be deleted, and to troubleshoot.
• Deletion job summaries (status, counts and timestamps, with no Pin IDs): kept like the usage record, until you ask us to delete them. We have not set an automatic expiry for them.
• Usage record and preferences: kept until you ask us to delete them. They do not expire automatically, so that your usage count and preferences survive signing out and reconnecting. See section 13 for what happens when you ask for deletion.
• Billing records: kept for as long as needed to run your subscription, keep accounting and tax records, prevent fraud, handle disputes and meet our legal obligations (see section 7). The log of processed Stripe notifications is kept for reliability and diagnosis.
• Cookies and local storage: as described in section 8.
• Emails to us: kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle your request and as required by law.
• Data held by Pinterest, Cloudflare, Google and Stripe: subject to their own retention practices. We have not set out a retention period for those providers on this page.

To ask us to delete your data, email info@pindeleter.com and include your Pinterest username so we can find your records. We may ask for information to confirm that the request is yours. We intend to respond within one month, subject to applicable law.

After a valid request we intend to remove your session data, your preferences, your deletion job records (including any Pin IDs still in them), and other account-related data we hold that we do not need.

If you have paid for a subscription, we may also need to keep billing records that we are required or entitled to keep, for example for accounting, tax, fraud prevention or the handling of disputes (see section 7). A deletion request does not by itself cancel a subscription: cancel it first, as described in our Terms of Service.

Disconnecting inside PinDeleter is not a deletion request. We cannot delete data held by Pinterest, Google, Stripe or Cloudflare; contact them directly about data they hold. Stripe and Link have their own process for deleting Managed Payments data; if you use it, Stripe cancels the subscriptions sold to you through Managed Payments.

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU or UK GDPR), you may have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased, subject to the retained records described in section 13;
• restrict our processing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent; and
• lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija) or the authority in your country of residence.

These rights are not absolute and may be limited by law. To exercise them, email info@pindeleter.com. We intend to respond within one month, subject to applicable law.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we process. For example, the session cookie is HTTP-only, secure and SameSite, the Pinterest login flow uses a state check, and our service runs on Cloudflare’s infrastructure. However, no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or stored by the service.

You can help by keeping your Pinterest account secure and by managing your Pinterest account through Pinterest’s own services and settings, where applicable.

PinDeleter is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at anyone under 18. You must be at least 18 to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has used the service, contact us at info@pindeleter.com and we will take reasonable steps to address it.

PinDeleter is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Pinterest. Pinterest is a trademark of its respective owner.

Your Pinterest account is governed by Pinterest’s own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for how Pinterest, Cloudflare, Google or Stripe handle information. Cloudflare, Google and Stripe publish their own privacy policies:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the service or the Pinterest access we use changes. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “last updated” date at the top. If a change is material, we may also give additional notice on the site. See also our Terms of Service.
